Ecuador: National Plan for Good Living; development of
sustainable projects.
The Embassy of Ecuador in The Netherlands will promote opportunities inspired by the National Plan for Good Living, regarding several sectors. These include the sectors of Renewable Energy, Solid Waste Management, Sustainable Mobility, Fair Trade, Eco-Tourism, Water Management and the development of highly sophisticated technological knowledge, directed by scientific research in areas such as communication and information technology, which is being supported by the latest project YACHAY- La Ciudad del Conocimiento.
Ecuador has been categorized by “International Living Magazine” as a desirable destination for retirees to migrate to, due to its mild temperate climate, longevity attributes, affordable real estate and low cost of living. Nevertheless, Ecuador also offers a business environment that is eager and open to take on new opportunities to develop large-scale projects.
ECUADOR - a Country of Opportunities
Ecuador is a developing economy with vast natural resources and a secure judicial system. Ecuador has shown steady economic growth in the last 5 years reaching 8% of Real PIB in 2011, from which 11.24% corresponds to non-petroleum goods and services. Thanks to this economic growth and the country’s well-organized financial management, Ecuador’s public external debt has achieved its lowest levels in history.
The Government of Ecuador, via its National Plan for Good Living, offers the best conditions for the development of sustainable projects under the confluence of its environmental, economic and socio-political frameworks. Ecuador is interested in legitimate and equitable socio-economic business relations that will benefit all parties.
