16 April 2013 (10:00-17:00) at the NBI Expo 2013, Beursgebouw Eindhoven, The Netherlands
The supply of raw materials, the lifeblood of today’s high-tech industry, is increasingly under pressure. In the last three years, about 80% of companies in the high tech sector dealt with serious delivery issues concerning vital raw materials and semi-finished products.
At the same time innovative technologies are being developed for better and deeper extraction, the fabrication of substitutes for critical raw materials and to improve recycling electric and electronic equipment waste.
The seminar will address aspects such as exploration, extraction, refining and processing, sorting, collecting and recycling, as well as innovative materials and techniques.
Governmental institutions together with leading knowledge institutes, sector specific organizations and high tech companies are invited to jointly come to innovative strategies for the issues raised in the seminar.
The seminar will be accompanied by roundtable sessions which will lead to concrete and innovative projects in which international cooperation plays a central role.
The Seminar will focus on a variety of themes
connected to the main title, such as:
• Critical raw materials
• Reuse and Recycling
• Innovation and substitution
• Waste management.
